Who is a better Indian Captain Dhoni or Kohli is a vague question, as there are multiple dimensions for a player to be considered, so it should be clear what we are focussing while judging about them.
- Player – As both are playing at different positions in team whether Test, ODI or T20, so both have a different role, both fit in their position properly and can play different roles on their will, whether innings setter or finisher.
- Athlete – in 2004–05 when Dhoni started his career he used to be very fit and still is, but Kohli since inception has kept vigil on his fitness regime and thus bound to excel in it, so is he doing with other teammates, which raised bar for individuals awareness and are very much aware that they are going to jeopardize their position if not fit.
- Leader – Undoubtedly best Captain for the Indian team is Sourav Ganguly, Kohli is good skipper but not as Dhoni and have learned from Dhoni only. If some say that result of Kohli’s team is quite impressive as compared to that of Dhoni than he must think that Dhoni used to play against the teams with the best player, undoubtedly team India improved but others deteriorated in recent times.
