The United Nation Security Council Decision to label Masood Azar under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions at the last moment was denied by China. A short note came from the Chinese officials say, we need more time to examine the sanctions request on Masood Azhar, Chinese diplomats said. The Decision to label under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions was followed by France, United States, United Nation, Germany.
The UNSC will Tag Masood Azard Asset Freeze, Travel Ban and financialassets or economic resources of designated individuals and entities under the Sanction Committee. Previously the Decision of the Committee was denied by China, when the proposal presented by India to ban Masood Azar, In April 2016.
The Jaish-e Mohammad, headed by Masood Azhar, is responsible for many attacks in India. They were responsible for the attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001, Pathankot airbase attack in 2016 and the Attack on
Pulwama District.
